Ma Earth is excited to introduce Learning Lab—an online community dedicated to sharing tools, technologies, and narratives in service of planetary health and regeneration.
I’m Sophia Rokhlin 👋 and I’ll be our guide. My life’s work has been rooted in exploring regenerative practices, and standing alongside community-led conservation efforts.
I’ve seen and felt the heartbreak of desertification, pollution and land degradation—but I’ve also seen deserts turn green again, color bloom back into coral reefs, and ancestral lands enshrined.
With the right tools, resources, and the power of community, I believe we can regenerate ecosystems and support those who call them home.
At Learning Lab, we’re asking the question:
What practical tools and guidance can help support land regeneration?
Together, we’ll explore real use-cases for environmental technology (such as monitoring, reporting, verification), traditional ecological knowledge practices, and useful frameworks from farmers, ecological advocates, and regenerators.
Come curious with questions like…
What does regenerative finance (ReFi) look like, in practice?
Can web3, satellites, mapping and AI really support ecological restoration?
What’s the secret to writing compelling, successful grant applications?
For our first session, we’ll be joined by Cassandra Ferrera, Program Director for the Center for Ethical Land Transition (CELT).
CELT works at the intersection of land justice, repair, and stewardship—facilitating ethical land transitions that prioritize access, equity, and the rights of nature.
